Potty Love!

We have been potty training Cache over the last few weeks.Cache picked out his very own potty chair and for the first few days slept with it!(It was clean) I took that as a pretty good sign that he was excited to go on the toilet! He enjoys his "special underwear" and sometimes puts 2 or 3 pairs on at a time because it is so hard to decide which one to wear!He is now potty trained and I am grateful to be out of diapers, but don't want to potty train again anytime soon!

More Concrete!

Cache and I joined Rich on a concrete job so we could spend some time together last week. I think saying we helped is stretching it a little far! Although, Cache did not fall in this time so you could say it was more successful than the last one! Cache found a "scoop" or so he called it and decided he was going to help daddy!

Rich decided he would have Cache help him by scooping up the extra and putting it in the wheelbarrow! It was a good job for him although most of it ended up in the grass, but he kept on scooping!

As you can see we are all pretty good at watching Rich work!

All in all the stairs turned out nice. Although I didn't get a picture of them! Cache was the comic relief for the work saying things like "good job daddy!", "Grandpa made it, woohoo!" It was pretty entertaining. Cache also peed on his first tree. Talk about a proud moment in a mothers life!

24th of July

On the 24th of July we went to Fiesta days in Spanish Fork. Cache loved the parade. He actually went running down the street for what I thought was candy,but to him was really eye candy! By the time I caught up with him he was right next to a royalty float saying Hi! to the girls! What can I say he likes to use those baby blues to his advantage! We went to all the fun booths and found among all the girly things a rubber band shotgun. They didn't have any pistols left that are definitely more his size! Now if I can only get him to stop using it as a gun and a sword!

Cache had fun with Paka Tom at the carnival! Who doesn't want a free ride!

Cache got on the train all by himself and loved it! When he was done he wanted more so we had to buy some more tickets!

Grandma rode the carousel with Cache and when he was done he didn't ask for more! I guess he is getting too big for the carousel? Although he did like the horsey!

After we played at the carnival we went to my Aunt Paula's house to BBQ. Cache found a squirt gun and chased Joseph and all his beautiful teenage girls around with it! It was a really fun day and it was great to see family.

Mirror Lake

We went up to the Mirror Lake area in the Uintahs the weekend before the 24th! We thought it wouldn't be too busy, apparently so did everyone else! As we were driving looking for a place to camp Cache decided to keep himself busy by playing with his snacks!
The lake was beautiful and the temperature was perfect!

Here are the three wise fishermen I guess?! They caught several fish, but all of them were too small to keep! Cache is getting better at using his pole! In fact you don't want to be in his line of sight or you can easily get hit with the fish at the end of his pole! I was hit in the face from clear across the room, and it hurts pretty bad!

After a couple hours of fishing Cache decided he wanted to go wading! I was suprised he lasted that long!

He sat here and threw rocks and pretended to be a frog Ree-but, Ree-but!

You can't really tell by this pic, but Cache decided to roast mini marshmellows! It definitely makes the bag last much longer than the big ones! He went through ten or so in a matter of minutes!

On the way home Cache wasn't tired at all! This is what he does when he doesn't want you to know he is sleeping!

We had a great time all weekend long! It is a lot easier to tame a wild beast in the mountains:)! No, we did not get rained on since everyone keeps asking me! The weather was absolutely perfect!

Camping

While Brandon was home we went camping up Diamond Fork Canyon! It was so nice to be away from everything! Cache was in heaven with all the dirt! He got a new fishing pole which was the highlight of the whole adventure! I felt a little redneck fishing in the dirt from my camp chair without any water! We did go fishing at Strawberry one day. Cache helped grandpa reel in a big fish and loved every minute of it! He was also very excited about his new sleeping bag and sleeping in the tent! Oh, if life were so simple. While we were packing Cache was playing with the matches in the garage. I thought to myself he shouldn't be playing with those, oh well, he can't light them right?! Next thing I know he is saying HOT! and I look over and sure enough he lit one! We then had to have the discussion of only lighting matches with the help of momma, and dadda! Needless to say the rest of the campout he was all over the matches! It was a great trip and I hope to do some more this summer!

Happy Birthday!!!

We decided to celebrate Cache's second birthday with a bbq before Brandon left to go back home. It turned out nice and we missed those who were not able to make it. We made a hot dog and french fries cake for him. He loves hot dogs, everytime we go to Grandpa's he wants to roast a hot dog. For the next 5 days after his party Cache would randomly say, "Grandpa light matches...Cache blow out candles(then make blowing motions and sounds).....Momma pull them out....Sing birthday to you!"

He really enjoyed all of his presents. He decided to read his new books in between opening his presents. Ginger and Rotten gave him some candy in his present and he didn't care about anything else after that. He carried it around in a little blue bag for the rest of the night!
