Kites

Cache has been waiting since Easter to fly kites with daddy and we finally had a great day for it. After just a little instruction Cache had his Bumble Bee kite up and away. He then decided he was ready for the Buzz kite and daddy could fly the Bumble Bee kite. After Rich crashed his kite many times trying to avoid entanglement, Cache let him know that he wasn't doing a very good job. In fact he said, "Dad is not as good as me at flying kites. I am great!" As you can see in the bottom picture it is actually Cache's kite that is in the air and Rich's that is on the ground! It was a lot of fun! Nothing beats having an almost 3 year old telling you what you are good at and what you need to improve!

Power Bucket!

We went to the public works party at the legacy center and Cache found a Lion to pal around with. He shot some hoops with him for awhile.
Then when the Lion got into the power bucket Cache waited patiently for his turn so he could get in with him.
They went up really really high! The whole time they were up there Cache kept saying, "this is SO cool!"
As you can see by his grin he totally loved it! Now when we see power buckets anywhere Cache wants to take a ride!

VEGAS!!

We went to Vegas so Rich could go to 311 with Brandon and I could see my sister. On the way down the freeway was closed from Cedar City to St. George. I know this doesn't seem like that far, but when you have to detour clear out to Enterprise and around it takes a long time. Luckily we found some entertainment and some tasty treats! Cache picked out these crowns for us. His is actually a KING HIPPO crown (according to Cache).
We went around with Brandon and saw some of the sights. Cache was really excited to see the BIG Bowser Castle. He went through the hallway with his fire and ice power shooting all the bowsers he could find! As tradition has it we had to eat at the Pink Taco, which was a first for Brandon!

Vegas has so many amazing parks that we spent a lot of our time playing. At the butterfly park Cache loved the pipes (slides).

At the dinosaur park Cache had a lot of fun with the girls digging in the sand.

We even played some baseball. Although we did forget a bat so we had to get a little creative!

As you can tell we had a great time and tired poor little Cacheman right out!

Sharptooth Snowman

When it snowed we decided to go out and build a snowman.
Cache enjoyed eating the snow more than making the snowman.
Our little photographer taking pictures of the hired hands!
Our snowman ended up turning into a Sharptooth! Cache really enjoyed sitting on his head! Sharptooth became his friend for the next couple days. Cache told him goodnight and went out to see him every morning. I am sure this will not be our last snowman sharptooth!

Ice Fishin'

Cache, Daddy, and Grandpa decided it was a long time since they had gone fishin'. So, they decided to brave the cold and go for it!

Grandpa getting all geared up!
That is one good looking hole!
It didn't take Cache long to pass out in the car once it was warm!

Our little Grease Monkey!

Cache is daddy's little helper when it comes to everything. So when Rich needed to replace his radiator, Cache was his right hand man. This is Cache's BIG BLUE SHARPTOOTH! Telling Daddy how to do it correctly.

Taking a quick break to smile so they can get back to work.

Holiday Fun!

We had a great holiday season. We picked up Brandon from the airport and Cache played with him until he had to go home! The day Brandon came home we went to a Grizzlies game. Cache sure enjoyed himself and took lots of pictures of everything around him. He turned on the charm and got a girl to give him a hockey puck just for being cute! He decided he was too big to sit with the rest of us, so he sat in the row in front of us and tried every seat available.

Cache was all over playing guitar hero. He played with Brandon for quite a while. He then decided he could do it all by himself. Then he decided he needed to show me how to play! He gets excited and says,"I got all booed off!" Needless to say, he now has his own guitar so we can all play!
On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma's house for waffle dinner and to open presents. He really enjoyed playing the sleeping bags that we got. He even got to fight the big sharp tooth sleeping bag! I got a snow man yard ornament, and as Cache helped me open it he exclaimed, "A SWORD!" He then was trying to use it as one all night and for the next few days!
Christmas was a ton of fun! Cache was into "shredding" his presents. He would say,"you just shred it like this!"then he would proceed to grunt and use all his muscles to open his presents. He really enjoyed fishing in his play tent and killing dad with his noodle sword.
This is how I roll! Some of the many faces of Cache in his car seat! Of course the one where Cache is passed out drunk holding a bottle of MtnDew is Rich's favorite!
We are grateful for the time we were able to spend with all our family and friends.I'm looking forward to another great year!
